IRIAM's moderator feature has been introduced to enhance the quality of live streams and create a more comfortable environment for both streamers and viewers. In IRIAM, moderators play a crucial role in supporting the maintenance of a healthy community, allowing streamers to focus on their streamings. By acting on behalf of streamers to address malicious comments and inappropriate user behavior, moderators help provide a smooth and enjoyable streaming experience.
Key Moderator Functions
Addressing Malicious Users
-Moderators can block users exhibiting inappropriate behavior during a stream or apply a temporary mute to prevent them from commenting. This allows for swift problem resolution without interrupting the stream. When blocking, moderators can choose to do so "as themselves" or "on behalf of the streamer."
Appointing and Managing Moderators
-Streamers can appoint trusted viewers from their followers as moderators. Appointments can be made via the "Moderator" menu on MyPage, and selected listeners will receive a notification. Streamers can view a list of their appointed moderators and, if necessary, dismiss them. Dismissed moderators will also receive a notification.
Moderator Visibility
-During a stream, a "Moderator" tag will appear next to a moderator's name in the stream's Viewer List. This makes it immediately clear who is a moderator and signifies that any warnings or actions taken by them are official.
Inter-Moderator Relationships
-Moderators cannot block or mute each other. This mechanism is designed to prevent unnecessary conflicts among moderators and promote smooth collaboration. If a moderator is muted by the streamer, they will be unable to comment, but their ability to block or mute users as a moderator will remain active.
Reviewing Moderation History
- Streamers can review detailed moderation history, including blocks and mutes, on the "Moderation Page" of the web tool. This allows streamers to track when, who, and by whom a user was blocked or muted, ensuring proper management of moderator operations.
Moderator Responsibilities
-As moderators act on behalf of the streamer, their judgments carry significant responsibility. Inappropriate moderation can damage the stream's atmosphere or lead to viewer dissatisfaction, thus requiring consistently fair and cautious judgment.
The IRIAM moderator feature is a powerful tool designed to enable streamers to focus on their creative activities with peace of mind and to foster an environment where all users can interact comfortably.
